Description

Primary care at Seabrook House includes 7 days detox and 28 days residential rehabilitation. Seabrook House is located on a 40 acre manicured estate in rural Southern, New Jersey. Seabrook House (SBH) programs are grounded in the 12 steps of Alcoholics Anonymous and Narcotics Anonymous. The SBH model of treatment includes a multi-faceted medical approach to alcohol and other drugs including opiate detoxification, gender specific therapy with special emphasis on relapse prevention, and family intervention services. Our experience and success is in helping our patients through the healing of the body, mind, and spirit. We believe in a holistic approach offering a multitude of rehab services including Yoga, EMDR, Psychodrama, Music Therapy, Equine Assisted Therapy, Acupuncture, and adventure based counseling. Our program includes primary care including detox and residential rehab up to 90 days and Intensive Outpatient (3 group sessions and 1 individual session a week). Families are given the opportunity to participate in the Family Matrix program each weekend addressing the topics of family dynamics, co-dependency/co-addiction, enabling, boundaries, and relapse using experiential techniques as well as group process. Family members will work alongside their addicted loved one in the second half of the program. You do not need to have a family member currently in Seabrook House to participate in the family program.

Seabrook House is proud to offer a distinct program for mothers with children known as MaterLiber (Latin for mother-child). This unique primary residential chemical dependency treatment program provides a place where a mother is permitted to have her children accompany her into rehab. The children can remain throughout the entire treatment process. Our facilities afford a mother the confidence that she will have access to her children during this crucial early stage of recovery. We believe all women deserve the right to have access to an inpatient alcohol and drug rehab program without worrying about the safety of their children. Admission Requirements - Only children ages zero through four (4). A mother who comes with her children must submit a record of all immunizations for each child, a health and prescription benefit card, a recent history and physical for each child by their family physician or paediatrician and all medications for their children. The child's paediatrician must write a letter that the child is free from all communicable diseases. While the mother is in treatment, the child(ren) will attend Upper Deerfield Pre-school , located only a 5 minute drive off campus, for up to nine (9) hours per day, five days a week.
